Malta

Malta, the land of the ancient mother goddess, but also known as the land of Mariam devotion and veneration.

Beneath most chapels are the remains of a much older religion - temples devoted to the great mother goddess. So it is no wonder why, years later, built upon the old grottos and caves are the chapels dedicated to Mother Mary, where miracles happen.

During our sacred journey, we'll explore the ancient roots of the mother goddess and the oldest threads of Christianity that is no doubt, rooted in a much older tradition.

The Healing Sound Chamber

Hypogeum Hal-Saflieni is one of Malta's most intriguing ancient sites descending three stories beneath the surface of the earth.  Built over 5000 years ago , it's withstood earthquakes and severe bombing during World War II.

We'll have a private visit as we explore the depths of her chambers. We'll sing and tone in the infamous Oracle room - an unparalleled discovery that's carved in such a way creating a profound natural resonance. It's often referred to as the "Holy Frequency" as both voice and drum resonate at approximately 110hz.

This specific frequency is known to change brain waves, "silencing" the rational mind while stimulating the more intuitive and visionary side of the brain. It's believed that the original purpose for this type of building was for inducing trance-like states where higher consciousness could be accessed.

Historic Valletta

Situated on two of the finest harbors of the Mediterranean and Malta's capital, Valletta is rich in history. We'll spend the day here visiting St. Johns Co-Cathedral where we'll see the famous baroque art work of Italian artist, Caravaggio, as well as the Mysterium Fidei Museum - an underground nunnery beneath St. Catherine's Monastery.

We'll also visit The Sleeping Lady, one of the most interesting artifacts found in the Hypogeum, now on exhibit at the National Museum of Archeology in Valetta. The museum houses many ancient artifacts dating back to 5000BC, giving us a glimpse into the lives of the Tarxien people, a highly advanced neolithic people that built their legacy on Malta.

St. Paul's Catacomb

In 60AD, Saint Paul found himself shipwrecked on the island of Malta. He, and the men that accompanied him, described Malta as "paradise".

St. Paul brought with him the teachings from the Holy family, before it became the organized religion of Christianity that we know of today. More likely his teachings were the true teachings of Yeshua and Mary that are rooted in the tradition of the Essenes.

We'll be visiting the St. Paul Cathedral as well as his catacomb and grotto, which is said to be the place where many miraculous healings took place.

The Chapel of St. Mary Magdalene

"Il-kappella tal-irdum", chapel of the cliffs, was built in the 1600's on top of a much older chapel and dedicated to St. Mary Magdalene. It offers both a picturesque backdrop and a peaceful escape.

The Mediterranean was once a busy passageway for so many people traveling from Egypt and Greece and several other eastern Mediterranean countries to Spain, southern France and Italy. It's not surprising to see so many small and simple old chapels dedicated to either Mary Magdalene or Mother Mary.

To me, it speaks to an ancient past where the Holy family spent time on Malta, and perhaps sought refuge on this small island.

The Island of Gozo

33.png

The Maltese island of Gozo is just a short ferry ride from mainland Malta.

Gozo offers a quieter and more laid back experience of the Maltese culture.

During our five-night stay, we'll visit the ancient ruins of the Ggantija Archeological Park, a short walk from where we'll be staying. Here, we find, what locals refer to as the second Hypogeum.

We'll also wander through the nearby, ancient village of Xaghra where we can view the "Cave of Calypso". Homer's Odyssey, where the nymph Calypso holds the Greek hero Odysseus captive on the mythical island of Ogygia is believed to be the island of Gozo.

Despite being a small island, there are many chapels dedicated to Mother Mary where we witness a culture with a strong and unwavering veneration to Mary. We'll visit a few of these chapels,

The Chapel of Immaculate Conception

The Chapel of Immaculate Conception, also known as the Qala sanctuary, is believed to have been built on a much older, pre-christian site of worship, possibly as old as 3500bc.  The most ancient places of Christian worship are found in Malta & Gozo.

Archeological discoveries have found artifacts relating to the ancient mother of God, Mater dei, specifically to

Juno - wife/sister of Jupiter, and protector of mothers, families and childbirth, that date as far back as 27BC.

Stories of miraculous healing in the sanctuary, particularly in the crypt below, have attracted many pilgrims throughout history.

Ggantija

The Ggantija Archeological Park is Gozo's most ancient neolithic site situated on the Xaghra Plateau, and dates back to 3600BC. The temples were built during an age when the people began to farm and domesticate animals, and reveal elements of being a ceremonial site for fertility rituals.

Gozitan folklore tells a story of a giantess, or Ggantija, who lived on a diet of broad beans and honey. She gave birth to a human child and built the temple as a place of worship.

Your Initiation

Malta and Gozo are known as pilgrimage sites for Mother Mary devotion.

During our time here, we'll follow our own path of devotion for Mother Mary and the lineage of the Holy Family, which no doubt, stems from a very ancient lineage, rooted in the time of creation.

We'll walk through timelines from the ancient Mother Goddess devotion during pre-historic times to St. Paul's arrival on Malta and Gozo in 60AD. We'll weave the past into the present, asking the Great Mother Goddess for clarity and for her blessing as we move forward into the Golden Age.

Deep and enriching conversations during our final days on Gozo will stir the pot for a profound understanding of our personal power and purpose.

The Silent City of Mdina

Centrally located, the Silent City of Mdina is a 4,000 year old, fortified medieval village known for its tranquility with pedestrian-only streets and a local population of only 300 residents.

We'll be spending our six nights on Malta here at the majestic Xara Palace. The perfect spot to return to after days exploring.

In walking distance is St. Paul's Cathedral, his catacomb and grotto where many miraculous healings have taken place. As well as unique shops nearby.

Gozo

We'll spend our final five nights on Gozo at the Cornucopia Hotel located near the Ggantija Temple. A charming hotel with plenty of areas to relax and unwind as we return from our days exploring.

Nearby is a wonderful spa that has already agreed to accommodate our group.

This will be a perfect way to spend our final days of our sacred journey.

Because many of our lodgings are unique, no two rooms are alike. They vary in shapes and sizes.  Rooms will be fairly assigned based on order of registration.
