Your Initiation

Every sacred journey has its own initiation that is intimately intertwined with the mythic landscape, the ancient people, and the faerie realm.

In Wales, we have the true origin of the Arthurian Legends, along with the goddesses unique to Wales.

I'll be posting videos/meditations here

as our trip nears that will guide you into the inner landscape of mystical Wales.

The Welsh Gods & Goddesses
Meet the Goddesses of old Wales several of which make up the four branches of the Mabinogi, the first Welsh folktales that appeared in the early middle ages.

The Forest Witch of Wales is our guiding deity on this sacred journey. She came to me as I was first putting together this trip. I questioned whether she was Ceridwen, goddess of the cauldron, but I've been told she is much older. Perhaps your experience with the meditation with her will shed some light.

Ceridwen is the goddess of the Cauldron where through the herbs she collects, she dispenses Awen. Her name means Holy Song. To some, she is a witch and a sorceress, but to me, she is the one who stirs the medicine of the land. And as she stirs her herbs over the fire, the medicine is dispersed through its aroma in an alluring sort of way, awakening the muse within.

Elen is a horned goddess associated with the deer trod. Years ago I was very drawn to Elen, and as I immersed myself in her mythology, it was her primal nature and the ancestral culture of following the deer trod that I was so drawn to. I do believe animals follow ley lines, and for us to consciously walk the paths of the deer, we awaken not only our own primal nature, but connect with the original song lines of the earth

Gwyn ap Nudd is the king of the faerie realm specifically associated with the Welsh, or the culture of the old Brits. He is the horned God of Annwn, the Otherworld. Like many primal deities, the horned god has been turned into the Devil as a way to turn people away from the power of the earth and their own primal nature. This is so unfortunate, and so misleading. Gwyn is a protector of the forest, much like the Green Man. He is strongly associated with the Tor in Glastonbury which is very much apart of the old British culture that is now considered Welsh.
